SBF started a WASH Project in 2018 to provide rural communities with sanitation kits which will improve their quality of life. This is the first phase of this project whereby 50 students receive the sanitation kits and are taught how to use it. In the next phase, SBF will provide these kits to 160 students in Chittagong Hills Tracts.

To enhance the protection against the novel coronavirus, Subarna Bhumi Foundation (SBF) in collaboration with SEEP (Social and Economic Enhancement Programme) - a voluntary organization- distributed 4000 mask and 4000 soaps among children in Korail slum.

At the beginning of the COVID -19 outbreak, SBF has provided 4000 Mask and 4000 soap to the children with the partnership of SEEP (Social and Economic Enhancement Programme). There were not enough masks in the market and the limited amount of masks available were being sold at very high prices, which were outside the buying power of the general public. By distributing masks and soaps, SBF and SEEP assist in reducing further outbreak in Bangladesh.

A little effort goes a long way! Workers such as rickshaw drivers who rely on the public using their service for their livelihood, have been the most affected during the pandemic. The situation where they cannot provide for their families, puts them in a very difficult position. SBF is trying to alleviate some of the suffering by providing at least 20 workers with meals every day.

We have already provided financial assistance to the 20 middle-class families in very remote areas and delivered necessities on a fortnightly basis. On the 17th of March, 2021, Subarna Bhumi Foundation (SBF) hosted an event for National Children’s Day and the birthday for the Father of the Nation ‘Bangabhondhu’ Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The event took place at the head office of SBF in Gulshan, Dhaka from 10AM to 1PM. The purpose of this event was to instill the importance of education, facilitate engaged learning and provide children with an opportunity to learn more about the history of Bangladesh. Guests of honor MP Shabnam Jahan Shella and Subarna Bhumi Foundation Chairman Mr. Md. Saiful Islam were invited along with forty (40) children from disadvantaged districts around Dhaka.

The management and employees of Subarna Bhumi Resort have donated a day’s salary, and our organization has also received financial aid, clothing, and food supplies from many supporters across different areas. We extend our sincere appreciation to all who have lent their support. Yesterday, the Subarna Bhumi Foundation provided financial aid to the Shakti Foundation, which will distribute the assistance to flood victims at the grassroots level.
